The place where Karen picked up her first 35mm camera!

Ø      Member of the Professional Photographer’s of America (PPA), Wisconsin Professional Photographers of America (WPPA), and the Fox Valley Professional Photographers of America, where she serves as the Print Chairman.

Ø      Awards: Karen has received numerous national awards through the WPPA, PPA, and the Fox Valley PPA (FVPPA).

Equipment:  Photo studio, with white lightening studio lights, and custom backdrops; Karen’s photo system is based on a state-of-the-art 14-megapixel professional digital camera, an upgraded Kodak DCS 14n.  This camera is capable of simulating many types of film (color/sepia/B&W/infrared) and is equivalent to Karen’s [older] Mamiya 645AF medium-format camera in terms of image output quality.

Karen Bukovitz lives in Appleton, Wisconsin with her husband and four active sons.  In addition to her portrait photography business, Karen also has an interest in travel photography; her work has been displayed in numerous local exhibits.  Her travel business over the past five years has included Mexico, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, China, Israel, Australia, Cambodia, Thailand, India, Russia, Kenya, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Rwanda, and the Congo.
